Dear Friends,
It is with a sorrowful heart to announce that Meghan’s father, Mike Salter, passed from this life on December 27, 2024. In the summer of 2023, Mike was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He fought hard until the end, always glorifying God and thanking Him for His goodness. His motto was, “Jesus, I trust in You.” Mike continuously trusted in Jesus, and his faith became a legacy.
We are forever thankful for all of the love and support that has been so graciously given.

It was a great honor to be interviewed by Ave Maria Radio on Dr. Marcus Peter’s “Ave Maria in the Afternoon” to speak about my father’s cancer journey, as well as the Confessions that were available at his wake. The interview can be found here: https://avemariaradio.net/ave-maria-in-the-afternoon-june-2-2025-hour-2/
Thank you again for all of the love, prayers, and support.
On a very positive note, Meghan’s health has not only been stable, but she is in the best health of her life. In 2023, Meghan was hospitalized for around 70 days with pancreatitis in which we thought Meghan may go to the Lord. Our Parish held a healing service for Meghan, and that very day, her body began to recover from the pancreatitis. She has been stable for a few years now, and lives happily at home in Michigan. Meghan lights up the room with her smile! She is so inspiringly in love with life! We take Meghan on various field trips and excursions. Recently, she has been loving horses, koalas, eating candy, and shopping!
I thank you for caring about Meghan and for being prayer warriors!
Let us do everything with the mindset of loving Jesus and helping HIm save souls!
Peace be with you!
With love,
Shannon Salter
